The UK market leader in business messaging services announces the acquisition of the UK customer base of 2SMS
Nottingham, England. 9th November 2020: Commify, the company behind a global portfolio of business messaging brands, has today announced the acquisition of the UK customer base of 2SMS, its first acquisition of 2020. This further strengthens Commify’s leading position in the UK, its largest market, and demonstrates its continued ambitious growth plans after completing 12 previous acquisitions since 2013.
2SMS is a long-standing provider of mission critical messaging to Enterprise and SME customers, with 600 loyal customers in sectors including healthcare, financial and legal services. With customer use cases such as appointment reminders, emergency staff communications, staff rostering and incident management, it has traded robustly through the Covid-19 crisis.
Commify will work alongside the team at 2SMS to continue to support the existing services before migrating the customer base onto the Esendex brand and platform, with its broader range of multichannel rich messaging services, over the next six months.
We are delighted to be adding further high-quality customers and scale to Commify. 2SMS has supported its customers with compelling messaging use cases for many years, and we are excited to offer a broader product set to these customers with our flagship Esendex brand, helping these businesses on a journey of ongoing digital innovation. This is our first acquisition since I joined in January, so I’m pleased to demonstrate our confidence investing further behind the business both organically and via M&A despite the challenging economic backdrop with Covid-19.
Tim King, Managing Director of 2SMS.com Limited added: “Esendex is a very exciting destination for our longstanding customer base, and in Commify we are partnering with a proven acquiror and integrator of businesses and customer bases in the UK and across Europe. We look forward to working with the Commify team and customers in the coming months to support the migration.”
