Leading European Application to Person (A2P) messaging company acquires Massenversand.de in Germany and SMSUP in Spain
Nottingham, England. 7th August 2018: Commify, the company behind a global portfolio of business messaging brands, has today announced two further acquisitions, bringing its total this calendar year to five. This increases its presence in two key European markets and demonstrates its ambitious growth plans.
Goyya Systems, trading as Massenversand.de, based in Dresden, Germany and SMSUP, based in Cordoba, Spain, bring the total number of businesses in the Commify portfolio to twelve and consolidates its position as a European leader in business messaging.
Now with almost 35,000 businesses using its services to send almost 3 billion messages a year and approaching 250 staff, Commify has grown dramatically since starting as Esendex in Nottingham, UK in 2002.
Founded in 2004, Massenversand.de is a long-standing player in the German market, serving a recurring base of 1,000 customers attracted to excellent support and direct mobile network connections. Following recent investment in its platform it is enjoying fast growth in the Self-Serve segment of smaller businesses using its modern products and website.
“The German market is extremely exciting,” said Geoff Love, CEO of Commify. “We believe it has tremendous potential yet to be realised for the customer segments we target. We see strong growth in the German market for Solution customers with the Esendex brand, and Massenversand.de is complementary to that, adding significant scale, a strong brand in the Self-Serve customer segment and a high-quality customer base. We are looking forward to working with our talented new colleagues to help bring new products to their customers and investing for long-term growth in this important market.”
Founded in 2013, SMSUP is a very fast-growing provider in the dynamic Spanish market. It has 300 customers of all sizes that choose it for its best in class Self-Serve web platform and high levels of service.
“With SMSpubli and Esendex, we already have two strong brands in the Spanish market for Self-Serve and Solution customers and are enjoying high growth,” said Love. “Adding SMSUP puts us in a market leading position in this territory for these key customer segments. We now have a full range of brands and offerings in Spain to help any size of business, in any sector, embrace mobile technology to transform their customer communications.”
Backed by HgCapital and with turnover approaching €100m, Commify has already acquired UK-based Fastsms, Connection Software and M:Science this year.
“Expect further acquisitions as we continue in our mission to make business communication brilliant,” said Love.
